I was born on September 12, 1962 in Alpena, Michigan. After graduating from High School in 1980, I served 4 years in the US Navy. Upon my discharge in 1984, I attended St. Meinrad College in Southern Indiana. I received a Bachelor.s degree in English in 1988. I entered the Dominican novitiate in the summer of 1988 and took my first vows on August 13th 1989. I moved to St. Louis, Missouri where I attended the Aquinas Institiute of Theology. I earned a Master.s degree in Pastoral Studies and was assigned to St. Thomas Aquinas Priory in River Forest, Illinois. I attended Triton College where I received an Associates in Applied Science degree in culinary arts. I was placed in charge of the food service operations at the Dominican Conference Center in River Forest, Illinois until the summer of 1996. I began a 14 year career at Fenwick High School, our Dominican high school in Oak Park, Illinois where I served as Campus Minister, Theology Teacher, Director of Community Outreach and Director of our Senior Kairos Retreat. When I left the high school ministry, I had planned to take a 6 month sabbatical in Chicago. But the opportunity to move to Albuquerque, New Mexico arose and I decided to take the Campus Ministry position on the Aquinas Newman Center staff.
